Mainetti Launches End2End Platform to Help Brands Navigate Industry Regulations

Mainetti's new platform combines Digital Product Passport, Lifecycle Assessment and Extended Producer Responsibility tools to help retail and apparel brands turn regulatory complexity into commercial opportunity

Chester, UK, September 8th, 2026 – Mainetti, a global leader in connected packaging solutions, has today announced the launch of the Mainetti End2End Platform, a new suite of digital tools designed to help retail and apparel brands navigate the evolving demands of the packaging landscape.

The platform comprises three complementary solutions. The first is the Digital Product Passport (DPP) which serves as a digital identity that tracks data points – from material sourcing and manufacturing to consumer use, repair, and final recycling. The platform also includes the Lifecycle Assessment (LCA) tool and Extended Producer Responsibility (EPR) calculator. This innovative platform enables Mainetti’s clients to measure their environmental impact and taxation implications. The new system also allows customers to improve their supply chain transparency, while providing access to certification and care information needed for clear and accurate reporting.

Roberto Peruzzo, Mainetti’s Chief Executive Officer, said: “The packaging industry is at a pivotal moment as legislation continues to evolve, reshaping how products are designed, manufactured and sold. Connected packaging is integral to manage these changes. This is why we are proud to launch the Mainetti End2End Platform today as it is designed to accommodate this ever-changing landscape. By providing a scalable framework that adapts as requirements change, we are helping brands reduce the burden of compliance so they can focus on delivering innovation and value.”

From the European Union’s (EU) Ecodesign for Sustainable Products Regulation (ESPR) to the Packaging and Packaging Waste Regulation (PPWR) and Extended Producer Responsibility (EPR) schemes across the world, regulatory frameworks are increasingly relying on one common requirement – reliable, accessible and continuously updated product data.

Through the Mainetti End2End Platform, brands can capture, manage and communicate detailed product data throughout the product lifecycle. Key features of each solution include:

  • Digital Product Passport: The DPP enables brands to quickly generate no-code customer-facing landing pages from continuously evolving product data, which can be centrally updated as regulations and data requirements change. The DPP also provides an ongoing consumer touchpoint for product information, storytelling and care guidance, while analytics offer insights into consumer engagement. From identifying which sustainability content resonates most, to understanding consumer behavior beyond the point of sale, these insights can help brands make more informed decisions that help them to achieve their sustainability and operational objectives.
  • Lifecycle Assessment: The LCA tool helps brands to measure and assess a product’s environmental impact across its lifecycle, allowing Mainetti’s customers to identify opportunities to reduce carbon emissions and improve sustainability across their supply chains.
  • Extended Producer Responsibility: Mainetti’s new EPR Tax Tool gives brands greater visibility of the financial implications of packaging decisions at the design stage. By modelling different design and material options, the tool allows users to see how changes such as switching materials, reducing material weight or altering packaging formats could affect their EPR tax liability. This helps teams make more informed decisions by balancing sustainability and recyclability considerations with the potential cost impact, rather than discovering the financial implications later in the process.

Mike Jones, Head of Innovation at Mainetti, said: “The DPP is the heart of Mainetti’s End2End Platform, representing the next generation of digital product communication within a single ecosystem. With the launch of the new platform, we are giving retailers and brands the tools to navigate industry requirements and challenges with confidence – all while unlocking new opportunities to connect with consumers, strengthen transparency and create measurable business value.”
