Mainetti and MishiPay announce partnership to launch intelligent Scan & Go service

Mainetti has today announced its partnership with MishiPay, the world’s premier provider of Scan & Go technology

London, April 7, 2022 – Mainetti, a leading provider of Radio Frequency Identification (RFID) retail solutions, has today announced its partnership with MishiPay, the world’s premier provider of Scan & Go technology. Together, they will bring the benefits of frictionless checkout to shoppers across the globe.

Scan & Go technology is already commonplace in the grocery sector and with this new partnership Mainetti can now provide frictionless shopping to its apparel clients with the added benefit of integration into its RFID / EAS solution using MishiPay’s patent-pending technology on purchased items.

This partnership is a win for both the retailer and customer. Scan & Go means both customers and retailers can reduce the face to face interaction and touchpoints which has grown in importance as we transition back to normality post COVID. In addition, self-scanning will help to reduce queues which in turn will increase the basket spend and ultimately boost customer experience.

How it works

MishiPay’s innovative mobile self-checkout solution creates a market-leading customer experience by enabling shoppers to use their own mobile phone for their entire shopping journey. In-store shoppers, using their own phones, can scan existing barcodes on products to access additional product information and add items to their basket. Price and promotion information is available in real-time, enabling the shopper to keep a track of their spending and savings as they move around the store. When the customer has finished shopping, they can check out with the tap of a button using a wide range of payment methods. Thanks to the partnership and integration with Mainetti, RFID security tags on purchased items will be automatically disabled using MishiPay’s patent-pending technology, and the shopper can exit the store without any manual staff intervention.

Deploying MishiPay means stores operate more efficiently, creating space in the store by reducing the requirement for conventional checkouts and freeing staff from processing transactions themselves at cash registers. Deploying Mainetti’s intelligent RFID technology enables retailers to maintain near real-time inventory visibility across the supply chain whilst ensuring the inventory is protected from theft.
