Mainetti demonstrates its commitment to minimizing its impact on the environment through its FULL CIRCLE initiative. The pillars of FULL CIRCLE – Decarbonization and Circularity – are the basis for Mainetti’s sustainability directive. Mainetti actively engages with entities that strive to achieve a more sustainable tomorrow. The company aims to create solutions to address climate change and to help transition customers from a linear to a circular business model.
Decarbonize our Operations
Mainetti has committed to being Carbon Neutral in our operations from 2021 forward.
We will continue to increase the use of renewable energy to 80% by 2025 and 100% by 2030 – in line with SBTi.
We will achieve a 10% improvement in energy efficiency by 2030.
Promote the Circular Economy
Mainetti will continue to reduce the use of virgin plastic to under 40% of total usage.
We will actively promote Reuse and increase the volume of reused products.
We will leverage our 60 years of product and process innovation to introduce new products and materials derived from renewable resources.
Carbon Footprint has been calculating Mainetti’s carbon footprint for quite a long time and have seen some great carbon reductions. It’s good to finally get to the stage where Mainetti is compensating for the carbon emissions and being able to say that “We are Carbon Neutral”.

Hangerloop™
For nearly forty years, Mainetti has designed hangers to be reused in circular processes. We debuted our industry-leading hanger reuse and recycle program – Hangerloop™– in 1986. Whenever possible we reclaim hangers for reuse and distribute them in-country and to international markets where garments are produced.
We operate hanger reuse and recycle programs around the world, with 24 locations that service global retailers and brands. Our modern reuse and recycle facilities provide a highly efficient and sustainable service for our customers.
Polyloop
Mainetti continues to develop genuine circular economy processes and practices to enable customers to accelerate a circular economy for plastics.
Mainetti provides a world first closed-loop recycling initiative that we call Polyloop. Polyloop is a global Clear Polythene Recycling Process which enables us to provide customers with a closed-loop recycling system for all of their clear polythene sourcing requirements.
