We consider compliance with legislation to be the absolute minimum standard and are constantly striving to improve the safety arrangements in our operations around the world.

As a global company consistency is key and to this end we developed a Group Health and Safety Manual which clearly sets out our safety Policies, Organisational Structure, Procedures and Arrangements.

Assisted by our internal specialists, all factories have implemented the requirements of the Manual and this is regularly audited by our internal audit teams and external companies such as FWC. We set challenging targets and regularly review progress to ensure that we are continually improving.

Training is a fundamental aspect of any safety improvement programme and Mainetti has invested heavily in this. In 2013, 55 Senior Managers attended, and passed, a four day course accredited by the Institute of Occupational Safety and Health (IOSH).

Training continues and every Mainetti factory has a designated Senior Manager who has passed, or is working towards, the NEBOSH (National Examining Board for Occupational Safety and Health) International General Certificate in Health and Safety.

Mainetti provides a fair, respectful and engaging work environment and contributes to the communities where we operate.

The Mainetti Code of Conduct sets out the standards expected from all our companies in relation to employment terms and conditions, working hours, business practices, etc. Compliance against these requirements is assessed using third party auditing companies such as FWC. In order to ensure transparency Mainetti is a member of SEDEX, the Supplier Ethical Data Exchange.
