Front of the factory in India

The Indian Green Building Council (IGBC) has awarded its first Platinum Green Factory Award Certificate to Mainetti India for its environmental and sustainability practices.

The IGBC identifies a green factory as one which uses less water, optimizes energy efficiency, conserves natural resources, generates less waste and provides healthier spaces for occupants, as compared to a conventional factory.

Country Head Sridharan Balaji said "It is Mainetti India's belief that a factory does not become green by virtue of obtaining certification. The Indian facility was designed green, conceptualized green and most importantly : "Built Green"
