Chief Executive Officer
Bala joined Mainetti in 2009 as the Group Finance Director and since February 2015, has also assumed the role of the Group Chief Executive.
Prior to joining Mainetti, Bala had over 30 years of management consulting, sales and marketing, project finance, real estate investment and management, mergers and acquisitions, operations and general management experience in multiple countries and in a wide range of industries. His last position was as the Group Chief Executive Officer of a multi-national panel manufacturing business head-quartered in Europe.
Bala, who is based in our New Jersey office, has a bachelor’s degree in electronics engineering from the Indian Institute of Technology and an MBA from the Indian Institute of Management.
Roberto joined Mainetti Italy in 1987 as Production Manager. During his time at Mainetti he has held a number of key roles encompassing general management, technical and product development. Roberto was actively involved in establishing production and marketing operations in a number of European countries. In 2003 he joined the board of Mainetti (SpA) Italy and was appointed Regional Director for Continental Europe.
In 2007 Roberto relocated to New Jersey and was appointed Regional Director of Mainetti Americas and has managed the reorganisation and development of the Group’s businesses in both continents.
Under his leadership, Mainetti has expanded rapidly establishing new operations in South America and has completed two major acquisitions.
In 2016 Roberto was appointed Global Head - Hangers
Paul joined Mainetti UK in 1987 having previously worked in the UK aerospace and defence industry. During his time at Mainetti, Paul has held a number of senior executive positions covering operations, general management, sales and marketing, and licensee operations.
From 2003 to 2008, Paul was the Regional Director of Asia. Under his guidance, the region expanded rapidly and Paul brought a number of new factories online, most notably China. In 2008, Paul was appointed Chief Operations Officer a role through which he has driven greater efficiency, sustainability, compliance and quality across all of the Group’s operations. He was appointed Chief Executive Officer of Techstar, the Groups’ packaging division in 2013. Paul holds a Bachelor of Science in Chemical Engineering from the University of Nottingham.
In 2016 Paul was appointed Global Head – Packaging
Balaji joined Mainetti India in 2001 as Vice President, Finance.
During his time with Mainetti India he has been actively involved in establishing multiple production and service facilities improving the Group's supply chain efficiencies in the region.
In 2017 Balaji was appointed Regional Director responsible for Group operations in Africa, the Middle East and Indian subcontinent. Balaji is a Chartered Accountant, a MBA graduate and holds a post graduate degree in Commerce.
Gabriele joined Mainetti in 2000 as General Manager of Mainetti Tecnologie, the Group’s Technical and Research and Development division. Prior to working for Mainetti he worked in various technical and management roles within the automation industry. Following the merging of Mainetti Tecnologie and Mainetti (SpA) Italy in 2005 he was appointed General Manager of the newly expanded entity.
In this role Gabriele was responsible for a number of business functions and projects including design and product development, introducing engineering solutions to expand fully automatic production lines. In 2007 Gabriele became Regional Director for Continental Europe. Gabriele holds an MBA from Vicenza High University.
Azzeddine joined Mainetti in 2003 as Regional Director.
His early career was spent at Universal Press in Italy where between 1984 and 1988 he was he was responsible for its sales team. Returning to Morocco in 1998 Azzeddine worked at Ciba Geigy until 1991 when he established Smacoplast, a company which produced garment hangers and accessories for the local Moroccan market and for export.
Keith joined Mainetti UK in 2000 as Factory Manager.
During his time with Mainetti he has held senior management positions in a number of countries. In 2006 Keith was appointed Regional Director for Northern Europe. In 2016 he was appointed the Group’s Director of Operations and Supply Chain and has responsibility for Manufacturing, Reuse, Supply Chain, Quality and Health and Safety.
Keith holds a Master of Engineering degree in Manufacturing Systems Engineering and a NEBOSH National Diploma in Occupational Health and Safety. Keith is a member of the Institute of Directors and a graduate member of the Institute of Occupational Safety and Health.
Nick is Sales and Marketing Director for the UK operation and also oversees sales to global retailers in the EU region
After a stint with Marks and Spencer where he gained a valuable understanding of fashion retail, Nick joined Mainetti UK in 1994 as Sales Manager and played a key role in developing the UK global business. Nick then spent a number of years in Hong Kong as head of sales in Asia, before moving to the Netherlands in 2011 to successfully develop the Group’s presence in Europe, securing a number strategic global accounts.
Nick graduated in Business Studies and Marketing from Napier University, Scotland.
Jim is the Managing Director of Mainetti UK. He joined Mainetti UK in 1992 as its Financial Manager having previously worked with Ernst and Young. During his time with Mainetti he has held a number of senior financial and management roles.
In 1994 Jim assumed responsibility for the UK’s recycling and reuse operation and successfully grew the division merging two sites into one business unit. In 2003 he was appointed Regional Director for Northern Europe with responsibility for operations in Romania and Sweden. From 2001 to 2013 he was the Group’s Financial Controller. Jim is a Chartered Accountant and holds a BAdmin (Honours) from The University of Dundee.
Jeffrey cut his teeth in the USA consumer goods and pharmaceutical industries before joining A&E Plastics in 2004.
Following Mainetti Group’s acquisition of A&E Plastics in 2006, Jeffrey moved to Mainetti and played a key role in the integration and management of the Group’s regional operations in North and Central America. In 2010, Jeffrey relocated to Hong Kong as the Executive Vice President for the Far East region.
Jeffrey holds a Bachelor of Science degree from Brown University and is certified in Six Sigma and Lean.
Jeyam commenced his career at KPMG as a Senior Accounting and Management Professional. Prior to joining Mainetti he held Directorships with many companies in a Group which supplied goods for Apparel, Plastics, Printing, Biscuits & Confectionery sectors.
Jeyam joined Mainetti in 1993 as Managing Director of Mainetti Sri Lanka and has been responsible for the development and expansion of the Group in the region establishing Mainetti Bangladesh in 2001.Since January 2012 Jeyam has served on the Board of a leading Development Bank in Sri Lanka.
Steve has over 40 years of experience in the apparel industry starting in 1978 as part owner of a trimmings company located in N.Y.C. Between 1999 and 2006, he worked for A&E Plastics and later with Randy hangers in senior sales management positions.
Following Mainetti Group’s acquisition of Randy Hangers in 2006, Steve headed the Group’s U.S. sales and played a key role in expanding the US global sales over the next 10 years. In 2017 Steve was appointed Deputy Regional Director of Americas.
Steve has an MBA degree in Marketing from New York University.
Paul joined Mainetti in 1996 when the Group acquired Pendy Plastic Products.
In 1998 Paul was appointed General Manager of the Group’s Singapore operation and became Financial Director for Mainetti China and its Far East businesses in 2000. He was appointed Regional Director in 2008. Under the leadership of Paul, Mainetti has expanded its supply chain with strong manufacturing plants and sales offices in China, Vietnam, Indonesia, Cambodia, Malaysia, Thailand and Philippines. Paul is the Vice President of Hong Kong Young Industrialists Council.
